Thanks to the online tool “Where’s my payment,” you can track your refund and even fix your bank account information, if that is a problem. Certain tax preparation services, were not Able to send deposit information to the IRS, thus delaying the process for many Americans. Some are able to fix their information , many were instructed on the date a check will be mailed out instead, which will start today. However this will not be the end of the assistance given out, as a new legislation was presented. $2000 a month is the new proposed solution, to avoiding an economic collapse for a minimal of 6 months. Stimulus Checks Who Gets It? Who Doesn’t? And Other Aid Available
After days of deliberations, the final version of the massive Trillion dollar bill was signed by President Trump this past Friday. Fear of an economic catastrophe drove the deal into existence, marking the largest of its kind to ever be implemented in the United States.
Many Americans are most intrigued by the stimulus portion of the legislation, which states that individuals will get a check for $1,200, married couples for $2,400. The final income requirements are as follows, no more then 75k for individuals, and 150k for families. Children will add another 500 each. If you owe back taxes or other federal debts, you will still receive the check, however those behind in child support will not. What about long term help you may ask? Unemployment will also be increased by 600 extra each month, and individuals who are self employed, or contracted will also be eligible for benefits. In the midst of the virus, this is the only word more popular amongst Americans. The President and other lawmakers have proposed a stimulus package to be distributed to most Americans, as a way to combat the declining economic situation. Amounts as high as $2000 have been rumored for individuals, and $4,500 for families. The requirements currently discussed are individuals with income that does not exceed $75,000 a year, may qualify for a $1,200 check, and families with no more than $150,000 a year up to $4,500, depending on how many children they have. Other qualifications are centered around tax liability (income to withholdings) on an individual, with a person making less then $2,500 receiving none. Discussions have taken place over the weekend to get the deal done, but came to a Halt after a Senator contracted the virus. Other obstacles came from the Democratic side, who did not vote on the Last meeting. 60 votes are needed and only 47 were counted, as not a single democrat voted. They are concerned with the worker protection portions of the bill, as well as corporate bailouts. A new vote is scheduled at 12pm Eastern time today, the amount is still unclear, but in the words of the President Trump, they will be “much more than a thousand dollars.”
