Dear Walnut Way Friends and Partners,
We want to check-in with you around our ongoing response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The health and well-being of our community is important to us.
We understand the outbreak, self-quarantine, and social distancing has an effect on all of us mentally, physically, and financially. We are making efforts to respond to the impact, gather information, and advocate for resources to those that need them.
Walnut Way is adjusting operations and programming to keep everyone safe and connected. We have several updates to share with you: 1.) Walnut Way Center 2.) Men’s Group Online Meeting 3.) COVID-19 Business Impact Survey 5.) Post-COVID-19 Volunteer Response Waitlist 6.) Voting Information 7.) Resource Reference List
WALNUT WAY CENTER
Walnut Way is taking steps to stay safe and limit possible exposure during the outbreak to keep in line with social distancing and sanitation recommended by the CDC and Governor Tony Evers Safer at Home order. As an essential social services organization, we are remaining nimble and flexible to continue work safely and appropriately. Meetings have been moved to conference or videos calls via Zoom. No events will be held at Walnut Way until further notice.
We ask that at this time, you do not visit the Walnut Way Center. If you have urgent needs, please call us at 414-264-2326 or email [email protected].
MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP
Real Men, Real Conversation has recently launched an online men’s peer support group, facilitated by Kenneth Ginlack in order to stay connected to men in the group and welcome others that are looking for support during this time. The meeting has been moved to a virtual location, Wednesdays at 6:30pm.
To join the next meeting, please download the Zoom Cloud Meeting application to your phone, tablet, or computer and use the following link or meeting ID to join: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/
COVID-19 BUSINESS SURVEY
If you are a business owner, please complete the survey to share how COVID-19 is impacting your business. We will share the results with funders, government officials, and institutions to advocate for resource allocation to businesses affected by the outbreak. Share and complete the survey.
VOLUNTEER WAITLIST
Walnut Way would like to be ready to support post COVID-19 events that support the community or refer volunteers to locations that need support. Join the volunteer waitlist.
