Town Hall Meeting

ALDERWOMAN MILELE A. COGGS invites residents to a town hall meeting that will include a discussion of Mayor Barrett’s 2017 proposed budget with City Budget Director MARK NICOLINI. Alderwoman Coggs will also announce the winners of the 6th District Landscape Awards. The meeting will take place starting at 5:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 AT THE SILOAH LUTHERAN SCHOOL, 3730 N. 21ST ST.

Alderwoman Coggs hopes that residents will take advantage of this opportunity to gain a better understanding of the budget and its potential impact on the 6th Aldermanic District. Representatives from the Department of Public Works, the Department of Neighborhood Services, the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corp., the Department of City Development and Milwaukee Police Department District 5 will all be present and available to answer questions.

“The city budget determines what the council’s priorities will be as we set about making changes to the Mayor’s proposed $1.53 billion spending plan,” Alderwoman Coggs said.

“In a year with so many competing priorities in government, input from our residents is critical as we go about shaping the future of our city.”
