UNCF Hosts Its Inaugural Milwaukee Mayor’s Masked Ball

March 12, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

More than 300 business, civic and education leaders from across Wisconsin are expected to attend the inaugural UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball in Milwaukee on March 12. The event, hosted by the Chicago area office of UNCF and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, will help provide Milwaukee students the resources to get to and through college.

“The commitment of Mayor Barrett in investing in Better Futures® is commendable,” said Dr. Michael L. Lomax, UNCF president and CEO. “UNCF is proud of this new partnership that raises awareness and brings us together with stakeholders whose commitment is critical in our work in supporting students to make it to and through college.”

Charles and Cheryl Harvey will be recognized with the first UNCF Masked Award in Milwaukee for their dedication and support of UNCF’s work.

Melinda Davenport, WISN 12 co-anchor, will be mistress of ceremonies at the ball, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Milwaukee Art Museum. It will feature a live auction, elegant dining, and dancing.

This year’s event is made possible by sponsors including Johnson Controls, Inc., Rockwell Automation, S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., Associated Bank, Aurora Health Care, BMO Harris Bank, Brewers Community Foundation, Ralph Evinrude Foundation and Goodwill Center for Work and Training-Southwest campus.
