The African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin will host the Women in Business Luncheon Series: Perspectives from Women in Real Estate Development and Construction on Friday, November 4.

This event, held at the University Club of Milwaukee will feature those at the helm of real estate development and construction locally. Panelists include: Sandra Botcher, Northwestern Mutual; Melissa Goins, Maures Development; Linda Graves, Gilbane Building Company; Donsia Strong Hill, LISC Milwaukee; and Tammy Ristow, Rams Contracting. Carla Cross, with Cross Management Services, is the featured entrepreneur.

These powerful women have a unique position in guiding some of the largest development projects in southeastern Wisconsin. The panel discussion will focus on their personal and professional journeys and how they navigate in a profession that has very few female leaders.

“The construction industry and real estate development are two major sources of economic growth and development. They have played a very important role in advancing diverse businesses and in the economic stimulation of our community through many catalytic projects locally,” said Dr. Eve Hall, President/CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce and event moderator. The industry can be regarded as a mechanism of generating employment and offering job opportunities to unskilled, semi-skilled and a skilled work force and that’s why this discussion is valuable and important.”

Where: University Club of Milwaukee 924 E. Wells St.
