Writing a weekly article gives me the opportunity to connect with you. It also provides me the opportunity to share my story and experience with many things like cooking, health and lifestyle. Being transparent is a way to heal and help others who may have had similar experiences and I welcome the opportunity to help others succeed, grow, and heal.
I wanted to share with you guys my recent experience with COVID-19. I recently tested positive and wanted to share with you a few tips from the CDC on how to recover from the virus. I remember waking up one morning with a stuffy nose and thinking it was due to me sleeping under the air conditioner.
I also remember getting a headache and thinking to myself that I have not had a cold since getting vaccinated last year. So, I started drinking my favorite cold remedy which is black tea, honey, and lemon juice. After that did not work, I took a COVID home test kit and it was positive.
Although I am doing well now, I wanted to share some information from the CDC website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/index.html that I used to get better. You want to make sure you know the symptoms to look for like: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, headache, and sore throat, these symptoms are just a few. If you have any of these symptoms get tested. After I took the home test, I went to Walgreens to take another just to make sure the home test was not faulty.
