On Monday, January 16, Milwaukee Public Library returns to live programming in celebration of Martin Luther King Day. This celebration from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library, located at 310 W. Locust St., includes music, dance, poetry, trivia, and hands-on activities for all ages.
The program is presented in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library Teen Advisory Board and funded by the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation.
Centering on the theme “United in Growth, Rooted in Community,” the events will feature performances including:
- 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Join in a Community Art Project with Vibez Creative Arts Spaces
- 1 p.m.: The popular Alpha Phi Alpha trivia contest features facts about the civil rights movement.
