A fourth check has been a hot subject, even creating a petition. signed by more than 2.1 million people on Change.org.
Many have been calling on Congress to “support families with a $2,000 payment for adults and a $1,000 payment for kids immediately, and continuing regular checks for the duration of the crisis,” according to its author, Stephanie Bonin. The petition’s goal is to receive 3 million online signatures, or just under 1% of the US population.
The White House has neither committed to a fourth stimulus check or ruled it out. “We’ll see what members of Congress propose,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said this pay week. Her response when asked, whether President Joe Biden would back another or not.
However, Biden has created two new plans, that right now does not include another check. The new plans are combined with the $1.9 Trillion from March, present others ways you could get thousands of dollars in benefits or tax breaks, including $3,600 per kid from the new child tax credit.
