Alderman Khalif J. Rainey, Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II, and Ald. Mark Chambers, Jr. are partnering to provide turkeys to local families this year for Thanksgiving. In collaboration with the Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet, the Hunger Task Force, Professional Firefighters Local 215, and Carnevor Steakhouse Moderne, the Aldermen will be stationed in the parking lot of the Sherman Phoenix, 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. TODAY – Wednesday, November 22 (while supplies last). There will be a limit of one turkey per family, and turkeys will be given away while supplies last.
“We know there is need out there and families struggling to provide, so we strongly encourage those in need of a turkey for Thanksgiving to stop by the Sherman Phoenix tomorrow to pick one up directly from us free of charge,” Aldermen Rainey, Stamper, and Chambers said..
