Milwaukee Area Technical College will host “Casa Abierta,” a virtual open house in Spanish about MATC bilingual programs for prospective students and their families, from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4.
Students will hear from Eva Martinez Powless, MATC’s chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer along with student and alumni panelists; meet with bilingual program instructors; and get information about bilingual programs, including college-level programs, GED/HSED programs and English as a Second Language classes. Visitors can also learn about support services for bilingual students, including financial aid and scholarships, such as DACA Plus.
