According to the COVID.cdc.gov website Wisconsin sits at number 3 for leading new cases confirmed in the US. Just last night, October 25th, 2020, our new cases confirmed shot up over 3,700. This puts Wisconsin just shy of 30,000 new cases in a very short time period. Our confirmed case total is nearly 200,000. Although 155,000 plus have survived, a little over 2,000 have died due to the Coronavirus.
These numbers are horrific and continue to rise. Although they say the best way is to stay COVID free is to wash your hands often, social distance, and wear a face mask, why and how are so many cases still on the rise.
It makes me wonder, is it that people are not taking this seriously or is there truly no way around it. Does it have to hit home in order for people to realize this is a real thing? Are people who have been contracted with the virus still out and about? Should other precautions be taking place?
Maybe we need to share our stories and experiences to make sure that people know that it’s real…
Here’s a few stories that I can personally attest to. Earlier this year, my best friend’s parent both were diagnosed with the Coronavirus. Her father made it through, but her mother did not.
About two weeks ago, a total of 7 of my friends were confirmed with the virus and 2 of their kids as well. They had headaches, fevers, chills, loss of smell and taste, and body fatigues.
Just last week a Facebook friend of mine was released from the hospital whom was battling COVID. She could barely breathe, was fatigued, not eating, and coughing nonstop.
These cases are real. We must stay safe. Share your story below. We want to hear about your experiences. Tell us how COVID has been going in your life or a loved one.
