You are invited to the launch of the McNeely Education Consortium on April 23, 5-6:30pm at Hagerty Museum at Marquette University. The McNeely Consortium represents the culmination of years-long advocacy for criminal justice reform by R.L. McNeely and the Felmers Chaney Advocacy Board (FCAB).
The McNeely Consortium is a collective of universities, correctional facilities, re-entry programs, and related organizations committed to providing system impacted students access to college coursework and eventually a college degree during and post release. Incubated within Marquette University’s Center for Urban Research, Teaching & Outreach (CURTO), the McNeely Education Consortium is anchored on tenets established by the Consortium for Liberal Arts in Prison of Bard College.
The beauty of anti-racism is that you don’t have to pretend to be free of racism to be anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it’s the only way forward. (Ijoema Oluo)
