6th District Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is inviting residents to join the King Library Community Meeting set to take place on Monday, May 23 from 6 – 8 p.m. The meeting will be in-person at the current King Library located at 310 W. Locust St. The library architect, Moody Nolan, will present an interior design update and collect input from patrons on the features of the new space.
“Libraries at their core are spaces for the people, and as such I would encourage residents to attend this community meeting to share what they want to see inside this new library,” said Alderwoman Coggs.
The new library project includes a four-story building at the northwest corner of North King Drive and West Locust Street featuring a new King Library and retail space on the first floor, and 44 apartments on the three upper floors. The community meeting will offer residents the opportunity to provide input on the interior features and amenities of the new branch.
