As the IRS sends out the remainder of CARES Act payments, talks of a second round are starting to heat up. The IRS estimates that approximately 4 million Americans are awaiting their first checks, and that fact is holding up talks on the next one. Lawmakers are awaiting the full economic picture from the first set, before moving ahead with the second. A new relief bill was passed by the House of Representatives two weeks ago, and have since been halted. The President has shown support of a second payment , however the Senate is expected to push back against it until certain tweaks are made. Both sides want to make sure the people on who need it most are receiving it, and are expected to come to a agreement in the coming weeks. More information to follow.
