“Employment data shows resignation rates, even in mid-career and manager positions, have increased during the pandemic,” said Dr. Eve M. Hall, president and CEO of Milwaukee Urban League. “Some have even dubbed this time as the ‘great resignation’, especially among women and those in the healthcare and technology fields. At the same time, some individuals are using this time to create their own companies and opportunities. These factors are causing companies to rethink recruitment and retention to keep top talent.”
A panel of local corporate, nonprofit and entrepreneurial leaders will discuss several areas: how the cross sections of employment and entrepreneurship and the impact this has on jobs and economic growth; how employment and entrepreneurship work together to drive the post-pandemic economy; and how the talent pipeline is diversified in a meaningful way.
Panelists include:
Steven Brown, vice president of Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI), Molson Coors Beverage Company
Wendy Baumann, president and chief vision officer, Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC)
