Happy Monday! Don’t tell me. I already know; it came WAY too soon. It feels like just yesterday it was Friday. Sometimes, I wonder why the weekend has to go so fast.
The reality of the matter is this. It’s over! It’s time to focus in on this week and the things that need to be done. You may have a tun of tasks to tackle, but what’s most important is that you put yourself first.
Now this can be quite tricky because it’s so easy to not put yourself first. It’s easy to help others first. It’s easy to let your job and things that produce money first. Those thing may very well have it’s importance.
There definitely are some tasks that are priority. But this week I challenge you to this. No matter how busy your day looks, do something for YOU first thing in the morning. Now this could be working out. It’s could be praying. It could even be just drinking a tall glass of water. Hydrating yourself properly in the morning or fixing yourself a good breakfast works too!
It’s not that the task has to be extravagant, it just needs to be intentional. Putting you first is a phenomenal way to start your day. It’s how you show yourself that you value you.
When you treat yourself better, you naturally treat others good as well. I’m no MD or therapist but I can say I feel so good when I take care of me first. It feels like a reminder that I need to do it more often.
So tackle this week with everything in you! Set your goals and go crazy. Just don’t forget to put you first!
