Happy Monday! Happy Monday! It’s the start of the week, which is always a good thing. Mondays consistently remind us that a new week has arrived. The sun shines bright, giving us a new day; a breath of fresh air. We can always have hope in Mondays simply because we have time.
It’s a blessing to live and be alive. It’s an honor to be able to wake up with a positive mind. Even when our emotions seem to throw us off, it’s a blessing to [be].
While there’s many things to be grateful for, the truth is everyday doesn’t feel as great as it is. Maybe you’re going through a rough season or you’re struggling in some personal areas. Maybe you’re experiencing chaos with your work or home life. Maybe you’re fighting a battle for someone you love or just feeling down. Whatever the case is sometimes it gets hard to appreciate life within itself.
We all get to these places at some time or another. We all experience things we don’t care to go through, trials and tribulations. We all have lost loved ones. We all have been through things that we wished worked out differently. But guess what? It’s okay.
It’s okay not to be at 100% sometimes. It’s okay to have a bad day. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to let go. It’s okay to release. These are things that we all have to face at some point in our life.
What’s important is that we put ourselves in a place of peace and happiness. What’s important is to check in with yourself and be honest about where you are and how you’re feeling.
The thing about life is that you weren’t created to be alone. You weren’t created to hurt and abuse yourself nor to speak down on yourself. You weren’t created to fight your battles secretly.
When you find yourself in a dark space, check on you. Evaluate you. Check your heart. Examine your surroundings and find love. SELF LOVE.
As crazy as it sounds, loving yourself has a lot to do with others. It’s how you treat others. It’s how you talk to others. It’s what you allow others to bring to your table.
Sometimes you have to take the time to clear it out. You have to take the time to clear out your space and mind. You have to make sure to surround yourself with people who love you and care. You need a small community of people that you know has your back and your best interest.
Maybe you’re the “strong friend”. You have to make time for you to release as well. Bottling things in only makes things worse for you and those around you.
So if that’s you. The word for today is check in. Check in on you. How are you feeling? What’s affecting you currently? Do the people around you love you and have your best interest? Check in with you.
YOU MATTER!
