The very best landscaping in the 6th Aldermanic District is once again being sought by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs as entries are now being accepted for the 6th District Landscape Awards. Special recognition for outstanding residential garden or landscaping efforts is sought, and residents are invited to nominate a neighbor or themselves for a property that is especially eye-catching or has been well-landscaped.
Alderwoman Coggs has long been committed to consistently supporting and encouraging the beautification and improvement of neighborhoods, and the 6th District Landscape Awards are a part of her Clean City Project.
“Beautifully maintained properties can serve to enhance pride in a neighborhood, as well as boost the overall quality of life for the area. I have long believed that those who go above and beyond to maintain their property deserve special recognition, and that is what the Landscape Awards are about,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “If you or someone who you know lives in the 6th District and fits this description, I would encourage you to nominate them for this award.”
To be considered, nominees’ names and addresses should be emailed to [email protected], and supporting digital photos are also recommended.
Nominations are due by the close of business on Friday, October 6.
