The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network is committed to advancing the health of the people of the diverse communities we serve, which includes doing whatever we can to provide a safe environment for all. This commitment to health and safety likely resonates with you. We know that everyone is doing what they think is best to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community.
Our experts believe the best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination.
Because we have a responsibility to care for the most vulnerable in our community, we have informed our providers and staff that they need to be fully vaccinated by Nov. 1. We’ll also continue to follow CDC guidelines, wear masks and take thorough safety precautions. Here are some of the facts that influenced our decision:
- The highly contagious Delta variant is spreading and rates of infection, illness and hospitalization are rising.
- COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at preventing severe illness, hospitalization and death.
We encourage you to join us by getting vaccinated if you have not already done so.
As we serve on the front lines during this pandemic, we see firsthand the stories of the people who fought and are fighting this deadly virus. Thanks to the COVID-19 vaccines, more people can win this fight, or avoid it altogether.
Everyone ages 12 and older can now get the vaccine at no cost. We are here to provide vaccinations and answer any questions you may have. Schedule your vaccination or walk in to one of our select locations.
Together, we can overcome this pandemic.
Sincerely,
Cathy Jacobson
