We’ve officially been in quarantine for over a month now. Most people are at home while essential works have still been true hero’s to our nation. The times are quite strange but I think it’s important to know that there are some great things coming out of this.
This is somewhat of the mental/physical break everyone cries for when Friday is taking too long to come. Yes, I get it. This is far from ideal. Nonetheless it’s your break.
Over 22 million Americans have been laid off. Granted a “layoff” and a “break” are very much different but in a time like this where absolutely nothing is promised, we can utilize this stagnant moment for good.
Now you have the time to do many of the things you’ve been holding off whether it’s spending quality time with your family, writing a book, learning how to cook, or becoming more healthy. Maybe it’s rearranging the house, building a deck, or fixing your credit. Whatever it is, the clock is ticking in your favor currently.
Whether you have dreams of becoming a business owner, dreams of walking into a spiritual ministry, or dreams of becoming a phenomenal parent, now is the time. This quarantine hasn’t been easy, especially since everything is closed but there’s power in this isolation.
This is a perfect time to sit down with yourself and take a mental breather. It’s the best time to find yourself. Ask yourself if you love you. Develop a deeper relationship within, getting to know the true you. Face those darkest secrets. Deal with them.
Develop a better relationship with your parents or children. Take a mental note for the things you do; for what you do at this time is where your heart is. Eliminate all excuses and take yourself to the next level. We may be down right now but we will come out on top if we prepare in the right way at this time.
Educate yourself. Whether that be online, reading a book, or finding a mentor. Learn with your kids. Get to know your kids and their gifts. Make them useful. Time is of the essence and everything that’s going on isn’t for the bad.
So take advantage! Evaluate where you are, create your plan, and apply the pressure!
