Joint statement from Alderwoman JoCasta Zamarripa, Alderman Cavalier Johnson, Alderman Mark Borkowski, Alderman José G. Pérez, Alderman Scott Spiker and Alderwoman Marina Dimitrijevic
The City of Milwaukee recently received its first payment of roughly half of the $394 million allocated from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). To share critical information on this federal funding, and to gather your input, this is a friendly reminder we will be hosting a virtual, MKE Bilingual (English/Spanish) ARPA Information and Listening Session on Thursday, May 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Your input on how these dollars should be spent is a vital part of the process, and we’re asking you to save the date now and join us on May 27. Together, we can discuss our priorities to best utilize this game-changing funding.
You can register for the virtual event at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3465231156662137612.

Additionally, a public survey is being developed by the city’s Department of Administration and the City Clerk’s Office as another way to gather citizen opinions and preferences. The online survey is expected to be ready soon, and we would strongly encourage residents to complete that survey as well. The survey will be available in English, Spanish, and Hmong.

We look forward to hearing from you on Thursday!
