As the summer wraps up, I thought about the normal things that have all suffered from the virus. No state fair, summer fest, concerts the list goes on. I consider those top tier entertainment, but the next tier for me includes events like, street markets where local small businesses get to showcase themselves at a assigned location. It has not been much of that until this past Saturday, at 407 W Hawley Road a diverse group of vendors gathered indoor and outdoor. Two specific vendors stood out to me, as I made my first purchase with Chase My Creations. “I’m just a mom with enough creativity to go around,” says owner Chloe Lee who creates tee shirts and accessories, all rooted in African culture. I was impressed by the packaging of the shirt I purchased, and her professionalism.
I liked the shirt so much I looked for something to match , that is when I found Mrs Arleta Slaughter, the owner of Arletas Collection in the indoor portion of the event. I was dazzled at the amazing display of Jewelry ranging from necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. I finally bought a bracelet After being helped throughly by Mrs Slaughter. The event followed all social distancing guidelines and mask guidelines, as it had free cocktails for guest. You can find a list of vendors including those I mentioned on Facebook, have a safe week.
