Hello, my name is Joshua Jackson and this week I’m having finals right before break. So far studying for finals is very stressful because there is a lot of information to cover. The worst final for me is Spanish because I don’t pay too much attention because it doesn’t really interest me very much. Later on I realized that finals are supposed to help you learn and grow from your mistakes.
I’m glad that finals were only twenty percent of my grade versus fifty percent because I know that I wouldn’t do very well. Personally if I took my grades more seriously then I could do better. Sometimes it’s really hard to get motivated to do homework especially when you get distracted a lot of the time on devices because they can be a benefit and distraction. For instance you may use your phone for a Bible in church and then a notification pops up like a text message and then the next minute you’re texting one of your friends.
After getting done with finals I feel so stressed and just feel like relaxing and having free time. Usually every time after school I’m usually sleepy because I sleep in the car when leaving school. I like the school environment because it makes me more focused versus being at home comfortable because there are more distractions at home which is why I listen to music sometimes to help me focus while doing homework. Luckily I’m on Christmas break tomorrow after finals so I can hang out with my family. Sometimes it feels good to take a break from technology just to hang out with your family.
Hopefully once my Christmas break starts I can get a chance to see the new Spider-Man movie. I have been waiting to see the movie for a long time so that’s why I’m so excited for Christmas break. The Spider-Man No Way Home movie has made half a Billion dollars and might be the most hyped movie this year. I haven’t been to the movie theaters in a while because of corona and I haven’t been able to do much these days so it’s nice to feel the enjoyment of the big screen and the crowd. Well, whoever reads this I hope you liked and enjoyed and most of all stay safe and stay positive.
