Happy Monday! It’s a new week. We’re close to the new year; switching into a new gear. Things that didn’t happen the way you wanted to isn’t always a loss. Everything you’ve been through this year was for a good cause, regardless to whether it felt good or not.
You may have had a few hiccups. You might have even failed a few times. Either way, the facts that you tried is a win. Nobody is perfect and nobody’s life goes exactly as expected. No matter who you are, life has its way of sharing ups and downs.
It’s normal. But don’t think of it as a bad thing. Sometimes it’s our perspective that needs a new look. Thinking that every time you fail it’s a loss can become condemning. You can easily find yourself beating yourself up because something didn’t work out the way you hoped it would.
Just because you worked out consistently for a year and then fell off, that doesn’t mean you loss. The win was in the doing. You did it. You tried. You succeeded. Then you fell. Of course the plan was to hit your goal and you may have fell short, but you worked for it and still achieved some results.
Falling and failing is simply a part of life. The part that you may have missed is the fact that you tried. Many people have dreams of doing this and doing that but they never truly have the courage to try. They talk about the business they want to own and the weight they want to lose but they never do the research to get started or they never step foot inside the gym.
Failing and falling is evidence. It shows that you were serious about something and bold enough to go for it. Lessons are blessings. The more you learn the better you’ll get. There’s power in movement.
When we’re attacking goals that we’ve never reached it’s important to know that it’s a journey. Growing is a journey. Discipline is a journey. Stepping out of your comfort zone is a journey. Trying new things is a journey.
Not everything happens the first time you try. What’s important is to simply learn from your mistakes. Dissect yourself. Figure out what you need to do differently and don’t give up.
Here’s a few reasons why:
- You will eliminate your fears.
- New opportunities for creativity will open for you.
- You dare to try things other people are afraid to do.
- Your desire will be ignited.
- Your emotional intelligence is improved.
- As long as you try until you get the results you WILL succeed.
So keep going. You’re winning already!
