Hello, my name is Joshua Jackson and I think that believing is something that motivates everybody. This year I haven’t tried my very best due to a bad start in the beginning of my freshman year. Sometimes people tell you what you are and I’ve realized that only you can say who you really are because no one else is you. My eighth grade year I had a teacher who gave me bad grades and that year I remember trying my hardest and he still failed me though. When I started high school I had so many people who believed in me such as my teachers, and some really close friends of mine. Even though this year after some of my mistakes I realized that everyone makes them and that I’m not alone. This year rumors spread about me on social media that weren’t true. I remember talking to one of my Uncles and him telling me that just because I have social media doesn’t mean you should always use it. If you haven’t read my past article about social media I talk about the good and negative impacts that it can have on people. I know lots of friends that have social media but often don’t use it much because they don’t like getting involved in any tricky situations that may be hard to get out of. Social media can also be very dangerous and especially talking to people you don’t know on the internet. A great example of this is on an episode on Dharr Mann where there are these twin brothers, and one of the twins DM’s a girl on instagram and the other twin tells him that it’s not a smart idea because he doesn’t know who the girl actually is.From this episode of Dharr Man I learned that sometimes you listen to see who your real friends are because they mean the best for you. A good example of this is whenever my friends told me that you should keep some things to yourself and not share with others and I didn’t listen and it cost me trouble. I also learned that mistakes last a lifetime and shape who we are as a person and that we become better as we make and learn from our mistakes. Well, whoever reads be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove.
