For Colored Girls is a timeless choreopoem, a marriage of poetry and dance on stage, sharing with the world how Black women have listened and held and encouraged each other through stories of emotional, social, and physical violence while ushering each other and all who would listen into spaces of healing and action. “somebody/ anybody sing a black girl’s song bring her out to know herself to know you.”
