Kearney, Sr., along with community partners and leaders come together with action, faith and hope to counteract the sadness, escalating violence, pain and suffering to say; Milwaukee when will we use our words and actions to display love for each other.Stopping the violence is a multi prong approach. It’s bout generational poverty, mass incarceration, hopelessness and people not being able to see a way out of it.That’s why collectively, all of us working together in an effort to provide training, to result in employment. Or why we conquer food injustices and insecurities, with fresh vegetables, fruits, beans and greens from our food partners. That’s why we collaborate and work to bring health equality and stop the inequities of diabetes, hypertension and COVID-19. Milwaukee let’s stop the violence, the hurt and pain, we must all work together. So when we got together a couple of months ago with Bader Philanthropies and our partners to plan a community event in the heart of the historic King Drive. It was about connecting families, neighborhoods and our city by providing our children with a good time, in a safe place and space to have fun and be a child. This also provides a venue for our many Juneteenth entrepreneurs, small businesses and community resource groups; once again to showcase their goods and at the same time to give back to the community.Milwaukee, join us Sunday October 31, 2021 for our first Trunk or Treat…It’s About the Children and Community Festival, from 11:30am until 3pm; right in the neighborhood! It’s a family event, mom, dad, grandparents; bring the entire family.
