Happiness is a word that seems so far fetched sometimes. With everything happening in the world today, it’s surely a task within itself to stay in a place of happiness. Although crime rates have increased and it seems more and more people are dying lately, there’s still room for YOUR happiness.
Are you currently looking for a new place of employment? Feeling like you’ve outgrown your position at work? Unhappy with the work you do now? Switch it up.
There’s nothing wrong with valuing your place of work, especially when it comes to deciding where you’re going to spend your time. Truth be told you only have one life to live.
Where you work makes a difference and in all honesty it plays a part in your happiness. Growing up I always saw family members go to work everyday, come home tired, angry, and upset. It seemed like many people were displeased with their lifestyle.
“Oh I wish I could..” was a phrase I heard way too often. I say that because instead of wishing, we should be doing. —- Doing something different.
Think about it. There’s absolutely no way to change your situation without changing it. Making changes can shift your mood. As you learn yourself, you will be able to create a life that you love. Notice I didn’t say a perfect life; nor did I say a life without problems. I said a life that you love.
Just think, when you know what you like you can go and obtain more of that! We all have to work. You job is to find something that you want. Find something that you love to do. If you like to deal with people maybe try sales. If you don’t, maybe you should try something back office or inventory.
Maybe you’re more of an animal person, try a pet store. You like shoes? Try working at the shoe store. Your options are endless. Of course there’s the option of owning your own and working for yourself as well.
You just have to figure out what it is that you want to do and do that! Get into a hobby that you love. Go places you’ve never been. Do things you’ve never done to find that place of happiness.
Be intentional about it. It’s totally up to you to create the atmosphere for your happiness. It takes work and may change as you grow. Just stay in tune with yourself and don’t forget to hold yourself accountable. Sometimes change is necessary.
You got this!
