A month ago, MPCB launched a neighborhood survey to determine needs and concerns of residents. After compiling the replies and having thousands of conversations, It all began from a mutual aid survey MPCB launched 1 month ago that expressed needs, and concerns within the community. The gap between public resources available and resources given to Metcalfe Park, which is 98% African American, has 76% renters and is in the heart of Milwaukee’s Northside, is unacceptable. MPCB sees that gap and is committed to bridging it for our residents.
This initiative is possible thanks to our residents, individual donors, and donations from Wisconsin Voices, United Way, Northwestern Mutual, the Mcginnity Family Foundation, Ayuda Mutua MKE, Arts @ Large, Medical College of Wisconsin, ImagineMKE, Rebel Face Mask, Jewish Community Pantry, Milwaukee Rep, Safe & Sound, and more.
