According to WISN News, three individuals were shot in a matter of two hours in Milwaukee Sunday.
It was said that the main shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. on the 2300 square of N. 17th Street. Police found a 22-year-elderly person dead in a yard. They said he had a lethal shot physical issue.
Police also investigated a shooting at 12:43 p.m. on the 4500 block of W. Burleigh Street. There, police said the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. It appeared that the victim was shot while inside a vehicle.
The third shooting happened just before 2 p.m. in the 1200 block of E Howard Avenue. Police said a victim was shot, but his injuries were non-fatal as well.
Since October started, according to police, there’s been shooting everyday, except for the 6th of October. This information is sad. Many of these shootings have been affecting young people.
This is the reality of our small city. People are dying everyday. Shootings and police chases have become a “norm”. It seems like we live in a city that doesn’t want to live at times.
I, personally, believe this climate and these happenings make the city very conducive for depression. It’s sad to see us treat each other the way we do. But either way, I feel like we can’t have enough of these discussions. We have to find a way to grab a hold of our city and our youth.
Our future depends on it.
