Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is inviting residents to participate in the upcoming MLK Library Development Community Meeting that is set for Thursday, October 14 from 6 – 8 p.m. The meeting will occur virtually and those interested in participating can register here. After registering, an email will be sent with instructions on how to join the meeting.
“Libraries are community hubs, and this meeting represents an opportunity for the public to make their voices heard on what they would like to see from this new space. I would encourage those interested to join the meeting to learn more about the project and provide feedback,” said Ald. Coggs.
Milwaukee Public Library staff will be joined by Moody Nolan Architects to host the virtual meeting to discuss the design concepts for the new Martin Luther King Branch. The new library will be part of a mixed-use development by General Capital Group and Emem Group. Following a short presentation by the developers, staff of Moody Nolan architects will discuss their process and collect feedback regarding the design and use of the new library.
