One thing most celebrities vow to do when they make it is give back and take care of the people that took care of them. That is what rap mogul and businessman, Master P, is doing.
Percy Miller, aka Master P, just recently visited Guste Homes, a residency complex for elderly and low income people in the city of New Orleans.
The rapper says that his organization, Team Hope NOLA, is focusing on celebrating, thanking and appreciating the elderly by helping beautify their property and most importantly spending time with them.
“I don’t want to forget about the elderly. These are the people that helped raise and guide us. If we make it, we are supposed to come back, help preserve them, take care of them, cherish and love them. They are our wisdom.”
The team contributed to a work of wonders.
According to Master P, many of the elderly go unnoticed.
“I noticed that many times the elderly are lonely and barely being visited,” he said.
Helping with indoor painting, providing meals to over 2,000 elderly people and also leaving Guste Homes very well equipped with new laptops, flat screen TV’s, chairs, tables and more furniture for the community center.
Guste Homes CEO Cynthia Wiggins , shared a very special ‘Thank you’ to the generous Master P.
“Thank you for being an example to the community of what success really means by giving back to the community that helped raise you and held you down.”
