Motivated Mondays: May Affirmations

May 2, 2022 By MKE Community Journal Leave a Comment

It’s officially the month of May and all things are possible. Anything you put your mind to, you can do. I mean absolutely nothing can stop you. You just have to believe it. You have to see. You have to surround yourself with good people and good thoughts to get it done, but it can get done.

Watch how you talk to yourself. What comes out of your mouth becomes a reality. So keep it positive this month. Only partake in things that put you where you wanna be. Keep people around you that believe in you and understand you.

Keep a positive mind. Choose to be better. Choose to love and love on you. Choose peace. Walk away from anything that does not serve you. Say no when you have to. Saying “no” is often times a “yes” to self love. So don’t be afraid.

Mindset is everything. Here’s a few affirmations to say to yourself every day this month.

  • I am successful.
  • I am confident.
  • I am powerful.
  • I am strong.
  • I am getting better and better every day.
  • All I need is within me right now.
  • I wake up motivated.
  • I am an unstoppable force of nature.
  • I’m allowed to take up space.
  • My past is not a reflection of my future.
  • I am strong enough to make my own decisions.
  • I’m in control of how I react to others.
  • I choose peace.
  • I’m courageous and stand up for myself.
  • I will succeed today.
  • I deserve to feel joy.
  • I am loved.
  • I respect myself and those around me.
  • I will accomplish my goals.
  • Nothing is too far fetched.
  • This is my season.
  • I was born to win.
  • I’m not afraid to step out of my comfort zone.
  • I own my house.
  • I run a successful business.
  • Money comes to me.
  • I’m a winner.
  • I am enough.
  • I love myself.

Saying these everyday can make a change in your mindset. It can keep you in position and focused. Say these to yourself all month and measure the progress you’ve made by the end of the month.

You got this.

3 Reasons to Let Go of the Past

August 23, 2021 By MKE Community Journal Leave a Comment

For many people, letting go seems to be a difficult thing. What is puzzling is why this happens. In the course of life, we all go through countless experiences. Every stage of our lives brings new challenges and opportunities to master specific tasks, acquire new skills, explore new aspects of ourselves, and understand our relationship with others and the world in which we live. Be proud of our achievements and the way we achieve our goals. In this case, it feels good to let go and move on. When we are satisfied with the unfolding of life, it is easier to let go and be open to what happens next.

But there are times in our lives that are particularly challenging and stressful; times that make us worry, fear and anxiety. Sometimes we simply don’t know where we are going and how we will get there. Sometimes we are trapped in one place, no matter how hard we try, it seems that we can’t find a way out. Believe it or not, this is usually part of life. I hope that sometime in the future our problems and problems will be solved and we can finally move on.

But what happens when you get stuck and stuck? You just cannot go beyond and remain in a state of reflection and obsession with the past – about what happened, about what could not have happened, about a missed opportunity, about the person you love, who doesn’t love you. The same is true for those difficult relationships that continue to jeopardize your integrity and health.

Everything you believed in will make you happy, everything you expected, all the hopes and dreams that you wished for and didn’t come true – you just can’t let go! You remain stuck in the emotions of that time, reproducing over and over again pain, guilt, shame, feelings of loss, and so on.

I know that it is difficult to give up everything you are deeply committed and stubbornly attached to, but you must give up because although it seems painful, this is the path to growth.

So, here are five points that can help you start moving forward and hope to give up things that no longer serve you.

It’s been done in the past. No amount of thinking, energy, and emotions will change this fact. You cannot change what happened, but you can change your reaction to it. Instead of thinking about the past negatively—your disappointment, your sadness, your struggle to have something that does not belong to you—you can more positively restructure your thoughts and feelings to reflect the lessons learned and the gains wisdom. You can make yourself understand that you are a continuous job, and what happens to you reflects your development. As you grow as a person, you learn to treat these past events as stepping stones to the future.

Your past is not your identity. Yes, this is part of your history, it is part of you, but it is not you. Your experience reflects a part of yourself. Things happen, but the way they happen, the unique way they present themselves, varies from person to person. You have left your mark on the way the incident happened. Your identity is the same as your past, and it is part of your tomorrow. When you are stuck in the past, you will prevent yourself from living in the present and tomorrow.

When you let go, you create space for something new. It is like a closet of rubbish, things that you no longer use and do not need. Do you even know what’s in there? It is very important to stop and appreciate what you really need emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually. Does it make sense that something once made sense in your lifestyle? Are you clinging to nostalgia for the past? Are you afraid to forget if you let go? When you clear away the debris of the past, you create a huge space for any event.

With that being said. It’s time to move on. Let go. Grow. Blossom. You were made for this. Losing people are simply opportunities for development. So learn from what’s happening currently and move on efficiently.
